ODM leaders were recently spotted in a popular Kenyan eatery in the UK, sparking curiosity and excitement among onlookers.

Led by their leader Raila Odinga, Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and Nyando MP Jared Okello, High Commissioner Edwin Afande, the team seemed to be on a mission, with Ugali being the centre of attention.

As shared on his Instagram, Senator Edwin and his colleagues took a photo standing outside the branded Eatery and he added to his post with the caption ‘Ugali Muhimu’ which easily translates that Ugali is important.

Ugali imepatikana London…tena inakorogwa na mluhyia wa Busia kutoka pale tu Funyula. Tusker Lite ndio hawana lakini ile iko ndio tutatumia bora ni yetu,” Senator Sifuna said.

Known for serving popular Kenyan delights, Kenyan Kitchen was their eatery of choice where Raila toured the European country at the invitation of the Oxford Africa Society.

Opposition leader Raila Odinga, who left the country on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, toured the Rhodes House at Oxford University.

Dennis Onyango, a spokesperson for the Azimio la Umoja coalition, said Raila is in the European country at the Oxford Africa Society’s invitation.

“At the annual event, Odinga will deliver a lecture titled: Forging Africa’s Future: A Journey of Resilience and Renewal,” part of the statement read.

According to Onyango, Raila was to discuss Africa’s trajectory of resilience and renewal, drawing on his expertise in public service and advocacy.

On Friday, May 24, 2024, the former Prime Minister highlighted his vision for the African Union as he seeks to chair the AU Commission.

While on his trip to the UK, Raila shared his vision for a better Africa with Ambassadors Maarten Brouwer (Netherlands) and Wael Nasreldin (Egypt) on Wednesday, sharing his vision for the continent.

“I had the pleasure of hosting H.E. Maarten Brouwer, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Kenya, @AmbBrouwer and H.E. Wael Nasreldin Attiya, Ambassador of Egypt to Kenya, @NLinKenya. I articulated my vision for Africa in our evolving global environment and my bid for the African Union Commission chairmanship,” Raila stated.
