Equity Bank Kenya is currently experiencing intermittent outages impacting some of its essential banking services.

The bank confirmed the technical glitch on Wednesday, May 15, urging its members to bear with them as their technical team works to restore normalcy.

Equity Bank conveyed its apologies for any inconvenience caused, assuring customers that every effort is being made to resolve the situation promptly.

“Dear Member, We are experiencing an intermittent outage affecting some of our banking services. Kindly bear with us as the technical team works to restore the services. We apologize for the inconvenience,” Equity Bank stated.

The bank offered alternative means for accessing banking services, highlighting the availability of services through Equity Agents, ATMs, and merchants nationwide.

Customers were cautioned to remain vigilant against potential scams.

“In the meantime, you can access banking services through Equity Agents, ATMs & Merchants countrywide. Please remember, Equity calls you from only ONE number 0763 000 000. DO NOT engage with anyone asking for your personal banking details. Equity will never ask for your bank details, PIN, Password, OTP or Card information on phone or SMS.”
