11 candidates shortlisted for PSC CEO position

11 candidates have been shortlisted for the Secretary/Chief Executive Officer position at the Public Service Commission (PSC).

In a notice shared, the PSC stated that the 11 including six men and five women are drawn from Nyeri, Homa Bay, Garissa, Bungoma, Narok, Migori, Marsabit, Elgeyo Marakwet, Trans Nzoia, Kericho and Makueni counties.

Five candidates; Judy Wangechi Njeru, Sylvester Odhiambo Obong’o, Mahat Osmal Shalle, Joan Machayo, and Christopher Lepran Tialal will be interviewed on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.

The other six; Bahati Keranga Mwita, Gababo Dido Jillo, Juliana Nashipae Yiapan, Paul Famba, Irene Cherotich Asienga, and Brian Muithya Mutie will be interviewed on Thursday, May 23, 2024.

The interviews will be held at the Commission House, Harambee Avenue in Nairobi at different times from 9 am to 3 pm.

“The list of all the applicants is available on the Public Service Commission website: www.publicservice.go.ke. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed at the Public Service Commission, Commission House, Harambee Avenue, Nairobi on the date and time indicated. Candidates should be at the venue at least 15 minutes before the starting time,” PSC added.

According to PSC, interviewees are required to produce originals of documents such as National Identity Card, academic and professional certificates and transcripts.

They are also required to carry their police clearance certificate, a registered credit reference bureau, and printed online self-declaration application acknowledgement receipt or self-declaration form and a recommendation from relevant professional bodies and associations.

Candidates who possess degrees from foreign universities are required to present a letter of recognition of qualifications from the Commission of University Education (CUE).

Members of the public have been invited to avail any credible information on the shortlisted candidates through affidavits to the commission’s chairperson or online through [email protected] on or before May 20, 2024.
