Several students from Kenyatta University have lost their lives following a horrifying road accident.
In a statement, Kenya Red Cross said the incident occurred when their bus collided with a lorry at MacKinnon Junction in Maungu, Voi along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway.
The injured have been rushed to Moi Hospital in Voi for urgent medical attention.
“We are actively responding to a road traffic incident involving a bus that collided with a trailer at Manyatta, past Maungu in Voi Sub-County. Multiple injured individuals have been swiftly taken to Moi Hospital in Voi, and our response efforts are ongoing,” the statement from the Kenya Red Cross authority affirmed.
The exact number of casualties is yet to be confirmed.
