Nairobi is one big bedroom and one Diana Kemunto got to give Kenyans a clear picture of that… if Sauti Sol’s ‘Nairobi’ hit song failed to.
Speaking to Kenya Online Media (KOM), the self-confessed ‘City Girl’ and upcoming influencer who went viral recently after posting confessions from ladies infecting unsuspecting men with HIV/AIDS has said the confessions went a little overboard than she expected affecting her mental well-being.
She revealed that she suffered both from internal emotional turmoil and insults hulled at her by netizens who didn’t understand her posts.
“Have you ever been tormented, I’m in that cage, I feel tormented, it’s like I’m having demons. I’m facing this, I’m fighting that. Keyboard warriors are also saying things without reading the stories saying ‘Meet Kemunto, the lady who has slept with over 50 men and spread HIV/AIDS’ but that is not the story. The people who were there when these anonymous stories began, can tell that these are confessions from people and I was reposting the confessions, they are not my confessions. People should try to understand, not be misinformed. People are inboxing me calling me names, this doesn’t hurt me but it hurts my loved ones. If you’re not sure, ask. It’s affecting me, I’m also human,” she told KOM’s Eve Nyaga.
Kemunto, who previously admitted to ‘helping’ Nairobi girls get into transactional relationships with wealthy men advised youths to use protection or abstain from sexual immorality.
“It’s high time you take your life seriously,” she urged, advocating for caution and responsibility in sexual encounters. “Just use protection or abstain from sexual immorality,” she advised.
‘City Girls’ according to Kemunto
According to Kemunto, ‘City Girls’ are young women into the ‘life of the party’ and getting the bag by all means. This could include partying, drinking, travelling and sugar daddies or ‘wababa‘ as they call it.
Kemunto said she is one of the girls who coined the lifestyle and advises women into this lifestyle to learn how to use it to build a worthwhile future for themselves.
“City Girls are into partying, drinking, travelling, kujispoil na wababa, the smart ones wanaitumia kujibuild,” Kemunto revealed.
