PSC announces over 700 job vacancies

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has invited applications from suitable candidates to fill 789 job vacancies in the civil service.

In a public notice on Tuesday, February 27, PSC asked interested Kenyans to make their applications through the commission’s portal by March 19, 2024.

“Interested and qualified persons are required to make their applications online through the Commission website: www.publicservice.go.ke or jobs portal: www.psckjobs.go.ke so as to reach the Commission on or before 19th March 2024 (Latest 5 pm East African Time),” the notice reads.

Some of the advertised positions include senior roles in the Ministry of Health such as the Director General of Health, Deputy Director General for Health and Director, Health Management Services, and Public Health.

Tens of middle to senior-level management positions are also up for grabs in the Public Health and Professional Standards department.

PSC is also seeking to recruit 10 human resource information officers, 40 human resource management and development officers, 50 human resource management assistants and 100 office administrators.

The commission is searching for 300 assistant office administrators, 30 veterinary officers and more than 100 lecturers.

Other vacant positions include Assistant Animal Health Officer (20), Laboratory Technologist (6), Assistant Leather Development Officer (7), Assistant Livestock Production Officer (10), Registered Nurse (6) Library Assistant (3), Senior Principal Superintending Inspector of Explosives (3), Assistant Director, Artisanal Mining, Quarrying Operations and Value Addition (2), Chief Superintending Inspector of Explosives (8) and Senior Principal Laboratory Technologist (2) among others.
