Kenyan gospel sensation Nicah The Queen has revealed her plans to keep a low profile this year’s Valentine’s Day due to her ‘not booed up’ status.
Taking to her Insta stories, the songstress, who recently parted ways with her fiancé DJ Slahver, expressed her intentions to disconnect from the Valentine’s Day buzz.
“Tomorrow switch my data and wifi off! staki reminder Niko single!!” Nicah wrote.
Nicah, DJ Slahver breakup
Nicah shared the news of their breakup vaguely noting that they had both decided to go their separate ways after careful consideration.
“After so much consideration, @slahverdon and I have decided to go our separate ways. Thank you so much for the love you all accorded us!” she shared.
Some fans expressed their doubt as the singer had previously pulled a breakup stunt on her fans only to promote her song.
They flocked to her comment section accusing her of clout chasing, with many speculating that the breakup might be a publicity stunt for an upcoming song.
In April 2022, the gospel singer announced her breakup with the publicist noting that people fall in love and they can also fall out of love.
“Slahver and I decided to call it quits and go our separate ways, people can fall in love and they can also fall out. All in all, we move on regardless I wish him nothing but the best,” she said.
In response, Slahver penned a message saying he wasn’t in the right mental state to comment on the breakup asking for time to digest whatever had happened.
“Thanks for reaching out after the news broke out. I don’t think I can say anything at the moment until both of us recover from whatever just happened. It’s wise not to say anything while not in my right senses,” he said.
That same month, the two lovers got back together.
“@slahverdeejay tunajuana wenyewe kwa wenyewe!”
The two went public with their relationship in October 2021 after keeping their affair under wraps.
The curvaceous singer had previously washed her lover’s feet advising ladies to tend to their men like she does.
