Catherine Kamau aka Kate Actress addressed claims she moved very fast after breaking up with her ex-husband Philip Karanja alias Phil Director.
Netizens confronted the actress about moving on quickly after she posted romantic photos of her vacation in Dubai with her current sweetheart Tribe Hotel’s General Manager Michael Mwangi.
However, Kate Actress dismissed the claims that she moved on fast after breaking up with Phil, revealing that she has been dating Michael Mwangi for a while now only that those in her inner circle knew about her current relationship.

Responding to another concerned netizen, Catherine Kamau noted that she wasn’t even looking for a boyfriend when she broke up with her ex-husband, adding that her current sweetheart just found her.
“Mnatoa wapi boyfriends haraka hivi?” Lady Mathai asked Kate Actress.
“We are not looking they find us,” Kate Actress replied.
Catherine Kamau and Michael Mwangi had been making public appearances together for a while now before she ultimately posted him on her Instagram account on February 11, 2024.
The two lovebirds attended comedian Terence Creative’s Wash Wash 4 movie premiere and a Sol Fest event in November 2023.
Divorce
Catherine Kamau parted ways with her ex-husband Philip Karanja in 2023 after five years of marriage.
The two jointly announced the end of their marriage in a statement issued on September 19, 2023.
“We came to a conclusion to end our marriage a long while ago and are separated. We sincerely request everyone to honour our wishes for privacy for us and our children,” the two stated.
Kamau and Karanja got married in a beautiful ceremony at Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club on November 18, 2017.
The two have a daughter named Njeri who was born on December 15, 2019.
Kamau, however, has an elder son named Leon who she gave birth to during her teenage years.
