Meals via eCitizen
Students at the University of Nairobi now need to pay for their meals using the e-Citizen platform.
This change comes because the Kenyan government wants all payments to the university to go through their online portal.
“The Kenyan Government has mandated that all payments to the University of Nairobi be made via the E-Citizen platform. Complying with this directive, the University has established the required systems to enable clients to make payments through e-Citizen. To pay for services, please follow the instructions provided below,” the memo stated.
To follow this rule, the university has set up systems for payments through e-Citizen.
To pay for meals, students should use the pay bill number 222222 and include their Outlet/Live identifier and name as the account number (like NUK1-name).
This applies to all the kitchens on the university’s campuses.
