Monday blackout to affect 5 counties – Kenya Power

Kenya Power issued a notice informing Kenyans of power interruptions in select parts of the country on Monday, February 5, 2024.

The utility firm noted that Monday’s power interruptions will affect Kiambu, Kajiado, Turkana, West Pokot and Embu Counties.

Kenya Power said parts of Kiambu County will be in blackout for eight long hours, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The areas affected include; Kwa Maiko Shops, Raini Village, Kambui Girls Sec, Mitahato Shops, Gathirimu Girls, Riagithu Village, Mchana Est, Kofinaf HQtrs Offices, Oakland, Osha Grain, Mega Pipes, Ruiru Mills, Jacaranda Water, Ngewe House, Manila, Ndondu and adjacent customers.

Parts of Kajiado County will experience power interruptions from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.

The areas affected include; Isinya Town, Ramoda, Naresho Kenchic, Pipeline Rd, Techno Steel, Ashanti, Kongoni, Inkiito, PJ Dave and adjacent customers.

Parts of Turkana County will not have an electricity supply from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.

The areas affected include; Kalemngorok Town, Kalemngorok Dispensary, Katilu Centre, Kaptir Centre, Kakongu Trading Centre, Kaputir Mkt, Safaricom Kokito Hills, Centre Kanza, Tapoyo Pri, Cheptuyus Pri, Tullow, Lokichar H/Centre, Sarmarch and adjacent customers.

Parts of West Pokot County will be in a blackout from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.

The areas affected include Cemtech and adjacent customers.

Parts of Embu County will experience power interruptions from 9 am to 4 pm.

The areas affected include; are Mayori Mariari, Kiambere, Getua Apostolic, Kiamugongo Sch, Nguthi Sch, Kirie Mkt, Kirie Mission & Sch, Kianjogu, Mukororia, Kandomba, Gacabari and adjacent customers.
