A fundraiser was held on Wednesday night January 24, 2024, for ailing Gengetone rapper-turned-Mugithi singer Peter Mwangi aka Miracle Baby.

Vernacular singer Karangu Wa Muraya and Carol Katrue went live on the musician’s Facebook page directly from the hospital where Miracle Baby is receiving treatment.

During the live session, the duo openly talked about Miracle Baby’s condition as they marshalled fans to raise money for him.

They revealed that the ailing singer has been hospitalized since January 16, 2024, when he was rushed for medical attention.

The musician’s medical bill soared to Ksh1 million for the two weeks that he has been receiving treatment in hospital.

Carol Katrue explained Miracle Baby’s health journey to the fans, revealing that the surgery was successful in addressing complications in his lower abdomen.

Miracle Baby’s baby mama noted the singer’s condition deteriorated last week after his intestines ruptured.

On Wednesday last week, his stomach was swollen, he couldn’t eat, he couldn’t go to the toilet. He went for an emergency surgery. They found intestines zimepasuka, zikamwaga choo kwa tumbo. Tumbo ikasaifishwa. So they stitched him up, then found the wound was leaking something,” Katrue said.

Medics removed the stitches, inserted valves to suck out the pus as the infection was bad. He has been on oxygen but not stabilized. We have just been here; he will be on the machine for one week,” she added.

Miracle Baby has been battling the gastrointestinal condition since 2018.
