Karen Nyamu came under scathing attack from critics who accused her of taking over Edday Nderitu’s matrimonial home in Samidoh’s rural home.

Samidoh, Karen Nyamu and their children spent the holiday season at the singer’s rural home in Oljororok, Nyandarua County.

Netizens faulted Karen Nyamu for sleeping in Edday Nderitu’s house after she shared photos of herself and her family enjoying quality time in Oljororok.

Karen Nyamu was warned that it was taboo to sleep in Edday Nderitu’s matrimonial bed, with critics also telling her to press Samidoh to build a house for her instead.

Nyumba ya wenyewe unaringa NATO jengewa yako,” Elizabeth Thuo commented on Karen Nyamu’s Facebook post.

In her reply, Karen Nyamu claimed she even attended the housewarming party when Samidoh opened the house in his rural home.

The mother of three further insisted that the house did not belong to Edday but rather to Samidoh.

Elizabeth Thuo Hehehe ata ikifunguliwa ni mimi nilikua kwa hio mbuzi. Nyumba ni ya Sam,” Karen Nyamu clarified.

Another critic told Karen Nyamu that a woman is proud of a house she built from the foundation up and not just moving into a house built for her.

Mwanamke anajivunia what she built from the foundation to the rooftop…..c upate the whole building,” Malkia Q Ambrose wrote.

Malkia Q Ambrose unfortunately my children can have only one native home ata nijengewe ngapi hizo ni zangu. Huku ni shags kwa babies,” Karen Nyamu replied.

Toxic environment

Edday Nderitu and her three children moved to the US in early May 2023.

On July 22, 2023, Samidoh’s estranged wife explained that she made a conscious decision to remove herself and her children from a toxic environment.

Edday specifically said that her teenage daughter Shirleen Muchoki was ‘a direct recipient of unbelievable behaviour displayed’.

The mother of three further stated that she was not in a polygamous marriage, adding that she had left her husband Samidoh to ‘whoever needed him more’.

Edday additionally disclosed that she had managed to sustain her children’s needs without any help.

Lemmie clarify few things that were shared online and not accurate…… I am not in any polygamous marriage as stated I left the husband for whoever needed him more. I made a decision to remove myself and my kids from that toxic environment especially my teen daughter who unfortunately is direct recipient of unbelievable  behavior displayed …I have managed to sustain my kids needs so far with no help and I am not regretting any bit of it. About communication and video calls I will leave that one there since some people seems to be present when that is happening but I’m  not aware. In this new season of my life I don’t need any drama, I need peace only ,I hope next episode of this series my name will be left out. #nothingbutprayers #powerofprayers,” Edday wrote on her Facebook account.
