Samidoh came under scathing attack after receiving the prestigious Head of State Commendation (HSC) from President William Ruto on Tuesday, December 12, 2023.
The State acknowledged a handful of Kenyans for their outstanding achievements in their respective fields during the Jamhuri Day fete.
Samidoh took to social media on Wednesday night to share his joy and also expressed deep gratitude for bagging the State commendation.
“Today, I take a moment to express my gratitude to the Almighty God for the incredible journey I’ve been blessed with so far. As just an ambitious village boy, I never imagined that life would take me on such an extraordinary path. Every step of the way has been a testament to the power of dreams, hard work and the unwavering support of my loved ones and you, my fans.
“I firmly believe that success is a collective effort and I am forever grateful for the favour, love and support from God and from the people that surround me.
“I extend my heartfelt appreciation to H. E president Dr William Samoei Ruto, for the Hsc award and recognition. This is beyond my wildest imagination. Indeed, all dreams are valid.
Thank you all for your unwavering love and support. Let’s continue doing good as we inspire others along the way,” Samidoh wrote.
The Mugithi singer also updated his Facebook profile to reflect the prestigious award he got from the government.
However, a section of Kenyans blasted Samidoh claiming he didn’t deserve the state commendation and that his baby mama Karen Nyamu used her influence in government circles to get him the award.
“Yani Karen gets no appreciation! Ama she’s just a stepping stone to your political world?? Ririjoo commented on Samidoh’s post.
Samidoh told off Ririjoo in a quick rejoinder while dismissing the suggestion that Karen Nyamu had a hand in him being awarded the State commendation.
“@ririjoo_mso mwambie awithdraw atafute yake kwanza,” Samidoh wrote.
“What does Karen get in return haki? Cz this lady does too much for you. If it were not for her, sammy hungekuwa hii level, Just give her the same measures,” Hellen Njoki Mwangi commented on Samidoh’s post.
In his response, Samidoh sarcastically told Hellen Njoki Mwangi that Karen Nyamu should have gotten her HSC first before helping him get his.
“@hellennjokimwangi86 hehe si angetafuta yake kwanza?” Samidoh hit back.
The latest development comes after Samidoh commented on the recent incident where Karen Nyamu and he unfollowed each other on Instagram.
