Kenya Power has issued a notice informing Kenyans of a scheduled power outage on Saturday, November 25, 2023.
In a statement, the utility firm said the power outage affecting six counties is part of routine maintenance and will last between five to nine hours.
“Hello, these areas will be affected by planned power interruptions tomorrow -Saturday, November 25, 2023,” Kenya Power wrote.
The affected counties are Nairobi, Kiambu, Trans Nzoia, Machakos, Kisii, and Siaya.
Kenya Power announced that the planned interruptions in some parts of Nairobi will run for eight hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
These areas include parts of Sewege and adjacent customers.
In Kiambu, the outage will run for seven hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. affecting the Bata area, Limuru market, Juja Farm, Murera areas and adjacent customers.
Outage in Trans Nzoia County will affect the Kachibora and Kaplamai areas.
In Kisii, blackouts will be experienced for seven hours between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. affecting Rianyoka, Nyakoe and Embassy areas.
Katani area and adjacent customers in Machakos County will experience the outage for eight hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Siaya County’s Rangala Girls areas will experience a power shortage for five hours from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
