Kenya Power issued a notice informing Kenyans of power interruptions in select parts of the country.

The utility firm, in a statement, said there would be a scheduled outage from morning to evening on Monday, September 25, 2023, in parts of seven counties.

Kenya Power, however, didn’t say if the scheduled outages were because of routine maintenance as it has been the case most times when they announced outages in the past.

“Good evening our esteemed customers, the following areas are scheduled for power interruption dated tomorrow (25/9/2023),” Kenya Power wrote.

The four affected counties affected by the planned power interruptions include; Nairobi, Kajiado, Kirinyaga and Nyamira counties.

Kenya Power said parts of Nairobi, mostly Hillview estate area, will experience an eight-hour outage from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Kitengela in Kajiado County will experience a nine-hour power outage from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Kenya Power said the Ithareini and Kabere areas of Kirinyaga county will experience a seven-hour power outage from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. while Manga and Rigoma areas of Nyamira county will have a six-hour blackout from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
