Radio presenter Muthee Kiengei has spoken out against deadbeat dads, emphasizing the importance of financial support in co-parenting relationships.

Through an Instagram post as seen by K24 Digital, Kiengei, who had parted ways with his former partner Kezia Kariuki, stressed that if a mother grants access to the child and allows communication but the father fails to provide financial support, he is not just a “baby daddy” but a fool.

“If she gives you access to your child or children if she allows you to speak to your child and you don’t support her financially… You are not a baby daddy but a fool,” he said.

Rise and rise of Kiengei

Kiengei shot into the limelight while doing street comedy in Nakuru in 2006. This propelled him to feature in several Kikuyu films.

Later, he joined popular Kikuyu radio station, Kameme FM, as the co-host of the highly acclaimed Arahuka morning show with Gatonye wa Mbugua.

He pursued theology studies and was subsequently ordained as a priest of the African Independent Pentecostal Churches of Africa.

He also served in Gatundu Township Headquarters before embarking on a new journey to establish his own church, Jesus Compassion Ministries in Nairobi.
