Marion Njeri Njoroge, a petitioner who moved to court in late September to stop Kiambu County’s Deputy Governor, James Nyoro, from reshuffling a Cabinet assembled by embattled governor, Ferdinand Waititu, has dropped the case.

In an application dated October 16, Njeri, through her lawyer Waithaka & Co. Advocates, said she wished to withdraw the petition in entirety without orders for cost.

Justice James Makau of the Employment and Labour Relations Court granted Njeri her wish.

That means, an earlier edict by the judge stopping Nyoro from reshuffling Kiambu CECs, has been lifted.

Nyoro took over gubernatorial responsibilities after Waititu was in July barred from accessing or operating from his office due to an active Ksh588 million graft case against him in court.
