Police in Subukia, Nakuru County have arrested a middle-aged woman who fatally slashed her 46-year-old husband on Tuesday afternoon over allegations that he was weak in bed.
Subukia Sub-County police commander, Edward Imbwaga, said they tracked the suspect down to her home in Kavilila Village in Waseges, where they arrested her Wednesday morning.
Imbwaga told K24 Digital that the suspect, Florence Nduku, confessed to killing her partner, Harun Mutua, because he “subjected her to sexual starvation, yet he slept around with other women”.
The Subukia police boss said Nduku will be taken for mental examination before being charged with murder on Thursday, October 17.
The suspect is being held at Subukia Police Station.
On Tuesday afternoon, Nduku used a panga to slash Mutua in the head and neck in a forest in Kavilila Village.
The suspect confronted her partner in the woodland where he was making charcoal, and meted out the attack on him.
Witnesses heard the man’s cries of pain, and when they arrived at the scene, the suspect confessed to killing Mutua because he was “weak in bed, but still had the audacity to sleep around with other women”.
After confessing, the woman took off to an unknown destination, area chief Patrick Njung’e told K24 Digital.
Mutua’s body was taken to a Nakuru hospital morgue.
