Twenty-five more people have tested positive for Covid-19, bringing to 490 coronavirus infections in Kenya.
Health Cabinet Secretary, Dr. Mercy Mwangangi, on Monday said that the 25 positive cases were found in a sample of 1,012 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.
Fifteen of the new cases are from Nairobi while 10 were found in Mombasa.
In Nairobi, the cases were reported in Eastleigh, Mathare, Umoja, Kahawa West and Kariobangi South estates.
Dr. Mwangangi cautioned vendors against allowing buyers to fit face masks since this can help spread the virus further.
All the new cases reported on Monday, May 4, are locally transmitted and have no history of travel.
