President Uhuru Kenyatta’s elder sister Kristina Pratt has become the most recent member of the Kenyatta family to meet opposition chief Raila Odinga as the two families continue to rekindle their ties.

Pratt, who has kept a low profile, paid Raila a visit at his Capitol Hill office in Nairobi, but details of their discussions were not divulged.

“I was pleased to receive Madam Kristina Pratt Kenyatta at my office this morning,” said Raila on his Facebook page on Wednesday.

Although Pratt has remained apolitical, her visit has political connotations given the warm relationship Raila enjoys with President Kenyatta since their March 2018 handshake.

In January, Uhuru’s brother, Muhoho, accompanied Raila who aslo the African Union’s High Representative for Infrastructure Development in Africa, to the 25th anniversary celebrations for the late Jaramogi Oginga in Kisumu.

A month earlier Raila had presided over a luncheon-cum fundraiser for PCEA Kangoya Child Development Centre in Kiambu where he was accompanied by Uhuru’s cousin and former Kiambu Woman Rep Anna Nyokabi.

“We are here to welcome you and make sure that this is just a beginning of thousands of trips that you will make to Kiambu,” Nyokabi said.

The new found relationship between President Kenyatta and Raila ended the 2018 political tensions that had built up after the twin presidential elections in 2017.
