“Former President Uhuru Kenyatta joined other distinguished guests in Addis Ababa over the weekend to celebrate the wedding of Captain Amanuel Workneh and Captain Mahilet Terefe. Captain Amanuel is the son of Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu, the Executive Secretary of IGAD,” a statement from the Office of the Fourth President noted.

Earlier in May 2025, Uhuru also attended the wedding of Kimoi Moi, son of former Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, and his bride, Ivy. The colourful event took place at Ol Tukai Lodge in Amboseli and brought together close friends, family, and dignitaries.
