A stray elephant on Tuesday invaded two villages in Baringo North, killing two cows in mad rage.
Some villagers barricaded themselves in-doors while others took to screaming as the elephant terrorized the village, eating whatever crops it wanted from any farm.
The Tanyileel and Talai villagers were advised by a wildlife expert to avoid making noise or following the animal for their own safety.
The advice came from Mr Gilbert Kiptalam who works for the Gilbert Wildlife Trust in Baringo.
Following the scare, Administration Police officers were deployed awaiting arrival of Kenya Wildlife Service rangers.
