Mike Sonko bail ruling application has been pushed to Tuesday, February 9, as the magistrate says she needs more time to compile the final ruling.
Sonko’s lawyer, John Khaminwa, told K24 Digital that he received communication from the magistrate that the ruling will not be ready until next week.
This means that the embattled former Nairobi governor will remain in police custody for five more nights.
Sonko was charged on Tuesday with assault and forced entry into private land in Nairobi, offense that occured in 2019 in Buruburu Phase 4, Nairobi County.
