A businessman was shot dead by armed thugs as he entered his residence in Siaya Town on Tuesday night.
George Meyo, 52, died on the spot during the 8 pm incident.
Siaya County Police Commander Francis Kooli said the deceased, a former employee of Azuri Solar Raha Company, was in company of his wife, Syprose Miruka, when the incident occurred.
The couple had left their place of business in a family car, and on arrival at the gate of their residence at Eurostyle estate in Karapul sub-location, three men who concealed faces with masks confronted them.
“He was shot at the back-left shoulder and the bullet exited through the right side of his chest,” he said.
