Lukenya Location Chief, Inspector of police Joska Police Post and officer commanding KBC police station have been arraigned and charged with requesting a bribe of Ksh50,000.

The three Tirus Ndambuki Musyoka, Kyalo Musyao Nthiwa and Francis Bundi Wilson were arraigned before anticorruption Magistrate Felix Kombo at Milimani Law Courts.

They are accused of requesting the bribe from Peter Muhia to release his 8 herds of cattle detained at KBC Police Station.

“Titus Ndambuki Musyoka, Francis Bundi Wilson and Kyalo Munyao Nthiwa, you are charged that on March 7, 2019, at Joska shopping Centre within Machakos county being persons employed by a public in the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government as Chief Lukenya location, commanding KBC Police Station and Inspector Of Police Joska jointly requested for a bride of Ksh50,000 from Peter Muhia with the intent that in consequence, you would release his cattle,” read the first count charge sheet.

In count two they are accused of receiving a bribe contrary to the law.

They faced a total of four counts ranging from receiving a bribe to abuse of office charges.

The four begged for leniency saying they will adhere to the court process and attend the hearing of the case when required. 

The court slapped them with a bond of Ksh500,000 or alternative cash bail of Ksh75,000.
