Sarah Wairimu, the wife of missing Dutch millionaire Tob Cohen has been ordered remanded at the Lang’ata Women’s Prison pending a mental health test.

Wairimu faces possible murder charge over her missing husband who disappeared without a trace on July 19, this year.

Her lawyer, Philip Murgor, objected his client’s further detention saying she has already 16 days in police custody.

But the prosecution told the court that there are protected witnesses who could be interfered with should Wairimu be freed.

The prosecution claims that they have sufficient evidence to bring a murder charge against the 52-year-old woman.

However, the defendant’s lawyer says that his client is being “paraded” yet there is no evidence that Tob Cohen is dead.
