Sarah Wairimu, the wife of slain Dutch tycoon Tob Cohen, has been taken to the Chiromo Mortuary to identify his body and attend his postmortem.

Wairimu was escorted to Chiromo under tight security by officers from Langa’ta Women’s Prison where the court remanded her until September 26.

She is set to take plea on Thursday next week for allegedly murdering her husband, whose body was found dumped in an underground water tank in their post Kitisuru home 55 days after he was reported missing.

The postmortem, which had been scheduled for Tuesday, was pushed to Wednesday after Wairumu’s lawyer rejected government pathologist Peter Ndegwa citing partiality.

Ndegwa was replaced by his boss, Chief Government Pathologist Dr Johansen Oduor, who had to be recalled from leave.

Cohen’s sister Gabrie Van Struate and her husband were present during Tuesday’s aborted postmortem.

Dr Oduor will be the lead pathologist assisted by family pathologist Prof Emily Rugane.

Prof Andrew Kanyi Gichae will be the defence pathologist.
