However, according to Sabina, she could not attend the recent Jubilee Party key event led by retired President Uhuru Kenyatta because she was not invited.
“I was not the Jubilee Party leader, only the acting party leader as per the constitution, until we held a National Delegates Convention. I did not attend the NDC because I was not invited,” Sabina said.
Jubilee NDC meeting
Former and retired President Uhuru Kenyatta, who is the Jubilee Party Leader, on Friday, September 26, 2025, presided over the National Delegates Conference held at Ngong Racecourse along Ngong Road.
The meeting brought together key figures in the party as well as close allies of the former Head of State, underscoring the continued strength of the Jubilee movement in Kenya’s political landscape.

Among those in attendance was Deputy Organising Secretary Pauline Njoroge, who has been vocal in championing the Jubilee agenda and rallying members nationwide.
Jubilee Party Vice Chair David Murathe also joined the meeting, reinforcing his position as one of Kenyatta’s trusted political lieutenants.
Peter Kenneth, a respected political figure and close confidant of Uhuru, was present alongside Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni, who has been instrumental in articulating the party’s vision and defending its interests on the national stage.
Former Gatundu North MP Wanjiku Kibe also made her appearance, adding to the list of loyal party supporters.
Notably, former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i attended the conference, signalling the wider network of political alliances that continue to surround the retired President.
In his address, Uhuru emphasised the need for unity and a truly democratic decision-making process in the party.
“It is my hope that from today, members of Jubilee Party will decide the future of the party and not a few individuals sent from outside,” he said, drawing applause from the delegates.
