As their father, Ruto stated that his government is doing everything it can to take care of them and ensure that they remain fortunate and hardworking, just like his own biological children.
He said his administration has created several job opportunities under different government programmes that are meant to empower the youth across the country.
According to Ruto, those who take advantage of the opportunities available will never remain jobless.

Government programmes for youth
“Vijana wa Emali, tafadhali my friends, nyinyi ni watoto wangu nyinyi. I have sons and daughters like you. Ndio mimi nauliza, kila mmoja wenu mjipange.
“Kwa affordable housing iko kazi, kwa hostels kuna kazi, kwa markets kuna kazi, kwa exports of labour iko kazi, kwa ICT hubs iko kazi, wewe ni kujituma,” Ruto told the cheering crowd.

He added that the government is opening doors for all hardworking Kenyans through new projects that cut across housing, digital innovation, and labour export.
He encouraged the youth to embrace the value of hard work, saying that prosperity does not come to those who wait but to those who act.
Ruto promises NYOTA Fund support
Ruto further reminded the young people about the newly introduced NYOTA Fund, which targets small business owners and startup entrepreneurs.
“Mtajipanga vijana wa Makueni? Nyinyi mmeskia juzi tuko na NYOTA Fund. Mmeskia ama hamjaskia. Tunatafuta vijana laki moja 110,000.
“Vijana wale wako na biashara ndogo ndogo hapa Emali. Hiyo pesa bilioni tano nitapeana in the next 10 days,” he said.

The President assured the youth that the Ksh5B fund will begin disbursement within the next ten days to support small traders and innovators.
He said the government’s goal is to ensure that every young person has access to resources that can help them build a better life.
Ruto concluded by urging the youth of Makueni to stay focused, disciplined, and determined, noting that their success will define Kenya’s future.
