Allies of Deputy President William Ruto on Sunday claimed that there is a ploy to eliminate him in bid to stop him vying for the presidency comes 2022.

Speaking at Kibirichia in Burii Constituency in Meru County, Tanga Tanga MPs Moses Kuria (Gatundu South MP) and his Kikuyu counterpart Kimani Ichung’wa warned that they will not support opposition leader Raila Odinga’s interests.

“Kenya should prepare for chaos if anybody tries to take Ruto’s life to advance their political interests,” said Kuria.

Ichung’wa claimed there is a plot to block DP Ruto from succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta after his term ends.

The Kikuyu MP said the plot was hatched after the ruling duo took over power in 2017, adding that the scheme is being advanced through Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).

They criticised Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti for failing to execute his constitutional duties and instead accused him of misusing his office to advance political agenda of specific people.

“We are ready to die for the truth we are not fearing anybody let them come for our souls we know their evil plans but we are telling them to be prepared because that will be the end of Kenya,” added Ichung’wah.

Addressing faithful at Kibirichia Catholic Church during a funds drive, the duo further claimed that they would soon expose those behind the evil plan to the public.

“Unless they repent and drop their threats, we will expose them to
Kenyans,” said the Kikuyu MP.

DP Ruto said he is ready to carry the cross of the truth warning those trying to intimidate him and his allies that their days are numbered.

“I know why Governor Kiraitu Murungi is not here because he is afraid but I wonder for how long this will continue. Politics of this nature are long gone,” he added.

Dr. Ruto accused some top public officers of being used to advance the political agenda of some individuals instead of executing their duties and mandates according to the law.

“We have to stop this nonsense of threatening, blackmailing, intimidating and manipulating other leaders we are all elected by Kenyans and nobody is here as a refugee or visitor of anyone we are all legitimate citizens in a free democratic country,” said Ruto.

He warned state officers who are working for some politicians that they will soon go for them and flash them out of the office if they continue to threaten leaders.

“I am telling them if they are men enough to come for me. They should stop victimising governors, legislators and MCAs telling them that they will come for them if they are spotted in his meetings or his office. These leaders are innocent and they have a right to make political choices,” added Ruto.

He regretted that political brokers and criminal justice systems are being used to perpetrate a political agenda by intimidating innocent leaders who are blameless.

“Any criminal justice system used to perpetrate a political agenda is a criminal by himself,” he added.
