The Anti-Corruption Court will rule on bail term for Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and 16 others charged alongside him on Wednesday.
This means the City Hall boss will spend two more nights in police custody.
The governor and his co-accused were charged with 19 counts of corruption and abuse of office over irregular payments that saw tax payers lose Sh357 million in shady tenders.
The prison department has been asked to verify whether Sonko needs be hospitalised in the presence of his doctor.
Sonko’s lead lawyer told Nairobi Chief Magistrate Douglas Ogoti that the Nairobi governor suffered possible rib fractures and needed urgent medical attention, possible hospital admission.
