A police officer is believed to have been shot dead by his colleague at Doldol Police Station, Laikipia County.

According to a police OB report accessed by K24 Digital, the incident happened on Tuesday, August 17, around 10:30 pm.

The case was reported by Corporal Wilson Nkabo Mutembei who is in charge of the Station.

On the fateful day, Corporal Nkabo heard gunshots in the police line and rushed to the scene to establish what had happened.

“He found officers outside the timber blockhouse occupied by police constable Leonard Ojwang and police constable Titus Keen. On Checking inside, he and other officers noticed that Constable Leonard Ojwang was lying dead on the bed,” reads the police OB report in part.

The report further indicates that the house of Constable Keen was open but nobody was inside.

Police officers discovered empty cartridges on the floor of the house and bullet marks were also noted on the wooden wall entering from Constable Keen’s room and exiting on the other side of constable Ojwang’s room.

Keen is believed to have disappeared after committing the heinous act and detectives are tracing him for legal action.

The OB report indicates that Keen went away with an AK 47 riffle, which contained an unknown number of ammunitions.
