Nyamira governor picks ex-MP who ran against Nyagarama as his deputy

Nyamira Governor Amos Nyaribo has nominated James Ondicho Gesami as his deputy governor.

The University of Nairobi-trained doctor is a former MP for West Mugirango Constituency.

In the 2017 General Election, Gesami ran for the Nyamira gubernatorial seat, losing to the late Nyagarama.

Governor Nyaribo was sworn-in last week following the death of Nyagarama in December last year.
