NTSA has maintained its routine compliance checks across various counties to help combat road accidents and safeguard the lives of children.
Through collaborative efforts with other agencies including the State Department of Transport, NTSA has continuously urged road users to prioritize the safety of children as schools reopen.
They have also set up measures to ensure that road compliance is adhered to including warning parents not to allow their children to use non-compliant public service vehicles whenever they go to school.
NTSA also conducts routine checks on motor vehicles to ensure they are roadworthy and meet the required standards.
“As schools reopen, all road users are urged to prioritize the safety of children traveling to and from school by adhering to the Highway Code, reducing speed, and driving cautiously. All vehicles transporting children should be roadworthy, have valid insurance, and be fitted with,” the State Department for Transport said.
