Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Musalia Mudavadi, has penned down a congratulatory message to the President of the United States Donald Trump after being sworn in on Monday, Janaury 20, 2025.
In the congratulatory message, Mudavadi termed Trump’s second inauguration as the 47th POTUS a remarkable historical chapter.
Furthermore, Mudavadi added that Trump‘s return to the White House shows how much the Americans have placed trust and confidence in his leadership once again.
“Congratulations, Donald John Trump, on your inauguration as the 47th President of the United States. Your return to the White House in the 60th Presidential Inauguration marks a remarkable chapter in history, reflecting the trust and confidence the American people have placed in your leadership once again.
“Wishing you wisdom, strength, and success as you lead the nation forward,” Mudavadi wrote via his official X account on Monday, January 20, 2025.
Trump’s swearing-in
Trump was sworn in for a second term as president of the United States at noon local time (17:00 GMT) in Washington, DC on January 20, 2025.
His inauguration ceremony was indoors, under the Capitol rotunda, rather than on the marble steps outside, as usual because of frigid temperatures.
Trump, the first US president convicted of criminal charges, replaced Democrat Joe Biden following his victory over Kamala Harris in November’s presidential election.
“I, Donald John Trump, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States and will to the best of my ability preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, so help me God,” he affirmed in his oath.
The 78-year-old’s return to the White House comes four years after his previous re-election attempt ended in defeat.
In the lead-up to Monday’s inauguration, Biden pardoned several individuals feared to be targets under Trump’s incoming administration: Dr Anthony Fauci, General Mark Milley and members of the January 6 committee, including Liz Cheney.
Congratulations, Donald John Trump, on your inauguration as the 47th President of the United States.
