Political activist Morara Kebaso has called for assistance, claiming that some of his team members were injured in Ololulunga, Narok County.

The incident occurred on Saturday, October 19, 2024, as Kebaso prepares for a parallel Mashujaa Day event, which he plans to hold in Narok town.

In a post shared on his X account, Kebaso sounded the alarm, claiming that he was unable to communicate with authorities.

“I need help. I am currently in Narok, and some of my people are injured at Ololulunga. Please help, they are injured,” he wrote. “I am unable to communicate. Anyone who can, please contact the police to come to the tarmac from Ololulunga to Mau. Please,” the activist begged.

The outspoken activist has not yet disclosed details of what went down in Ololulunga.

Morara’s Mashujaa Day

This incident comes on the heels of Kebaso’s announcement earlier in the week that he would be leading a symbolic cleanup in Narok during Mashujaa Day on October 20, 2024.

The activist revealed his plan on Wednesday, stating that the event would uniquely honour Kenya’s heroes.

“We acknowledge what other leaders are doing to bring change in Kenya. In remembrance of our fallen and standing heroes, we will support every effort in our shared vision of a new Kenya.”

“On Mashujaa Day, we will be in Narok for a symbolic cleanup. The meeting point will be communicated,” he posted on X.

Morara expressed his support for calls to protest against the government but emphasized the importance of preparation before taking action. He advised that momentum must be built before organizing demonstrations.

“To those who have asked for urgent street protests against the ills of this government, I agree with you. However, I urge you to remember the need to build momentum before you engage.

“Civic education is still needed in 70% of our nation for a national consensus on the change we want. This struggle is for all of us. It should not be left to the youthful Gen Z or the people in towns and cities. We need everyone on board,” he added.
