Activist Morara Kebaso has been involved in a road accident.

In a statement on Sunday, September 22, 2024, Kebaso revealed that his car had been involved in a side collision with a drunk driver in Kivwe, Embu County.

“I have been involved in a road accident, a side collision in Kivwe Embu County. By a drunk driver,” Kebaso stated.

Kebaso says he is safe after the accident, which he says almost claimed his life.

“I flew close to the sun but I am alive for a reason. Now I know I am on a clock,” he added

The activist spent his day in Tharaka Nithi County conducting civic education and sensitization meetings with residents, as well as checking government projects.

In the morning hours, he spoke to students at the Chuka University where he urged them to “rise in many ways and defend their nation.”

“I attended service at Chuka University Christian Union. I spoke about the need for university students to rise in many ways and defend their nation. I also spoke about the defilement of places of worship and why we should not give up hope in bringing change to our country,” Morara stated.

Among the projects that the activist exposed as “incomplete” or “non-existent” despite having been allocated funds include the Chogoria-Weru-Marima and the Kieni-Kiandege-Mworoga Roads.
