A preacher in Nyatike, Migori County was on Wednesday, October 23, arraigned for allegedly defiling and impregnating a 16-year-old girl.
Joshua Ouma Randa denied the charge before Migori Principal Magistrate’s Court.
The court was told that the victim, a Class Eight pupil who is set to sit the 2019 KCPE that begins on Tuesday, October 29, went missing from home on Friday, October 18 and was found in the suspect’s house on Tuesday, October 22.
Medical examinations conducted on the teenager showed that she was pregnant.
Randa was released on Ksh200, 000 cash bail or a surety of a similar amount.
