A man in Ukwala Location of Ugenya in Siaya County is alleged to have killed his wife and later hanged himself, living a note indicating the frustration of siring children with his wife.

Enoch Omollo, 48, was found dead alongside his wife Dorothy Omanya, 43 having left a suicide note narrating the murder.

Area Assistant Chief Henry Oduor said that he received a text message from relatives of the woman informing him of a possible murder in Uloma C village.

“I received a call at around 5.00am in the morning informing me that one of my residents had sent a message to his wife’s cousins telling them that he had killed their kin and so I rushed to his home immediately,” Oduor said.

According to the Assistant Chief, after arriving at Omollo’s home, no one opened the door and after frantic efforts to reach him his officers broke in to find out what had transpired.

The administrator said they found the lifeless body of Omollo’s wife in the bedroom of the house while Omollo’s body dangled from a rope next to the bed with a suicide note narrating the events of the murder.

Oduor revealed that the couple had disagreements over their lack of children which had led the man to marry another wife.

The bodies were taken to Ukwala sub-county Hospital Mortuary awaiting postmortem examinations as police investigate the incident.
