Mobile money cash transfer service, M-Pesa, will be unavailable on Thursday, June 18 between midnight (0000hrs) and 5am, Safaricom has announced.

The telecommunications company says the interruption is occasioned by a need to “undertake maintenance of ours systems from time to time”.

“During the maintenance, all M-Pesa services, including airtime purchase, shall be temporarily unavailable. The timing of this maintenance activity has been planned to result in the least of inconvenience to our customers,” said Safaricom in press release Wednesday, June 17.
