The 699,745 students who sat the 2019 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examination which ended on November 27 are set to know their results today.

CS Magoha: 16 subjects recorded significant improvement. English, Kiswahili, Chemistry and Physics are some of the critical subjects were performance increased this year

Magoha: Female students performed better than their male counterparts in English, Kiswahili, Home Science, Art & Science.

Magoha: 125,746 candidates scored the minimum C+ required to qualify for university education.

Magoha: 627 candidates score mean grade A in 2019 KCSE exams, a marked improvement from last years’s exam.

Education CS George Magoha: I will be releasing results that show marked improvement compared to those of the last three years.

CS Magoha: The girl challenge is already stronger. I want to encourage all female learners who have been blessed with a child to go back to school. We are sending stern warning to some sections of Kenya where people have a habit of marrying young girls. We will get you.

CS Magoha: I want to say something about Nemis. Keep politics out of my work. Nemis is here to stay. We have successfully updated Nemis with a 10G card.

The Kenya National Examination Council (Knec) completed marking the exams on December 12, a process that took two weeks.

During the 2019 KCSE exams results release on Wednesday, Knec chief executive Dr Mercy Karogo said that some 26,580 teachers were involved in the marking of the papers.

A number of candidates, Dr Karogo, said will receive their results after sorting out some registration issues with Knec.

Teachers Service Commission boss, Dr Nancy Macharia, said that 2019 had the least cases of indiscipline cases in the second term.
