Trade Cabinet secretary Peter Munya on Saturday asked Deputy President William Ruto political allies to leave him alone and give him space to execute his mandate.

Speaking in Kianjai in Tigania West, Munya wondered why the DP supporter’s are spreading falsehoods that he was among four Cabinet secretaries that were  planning to assassinate the DP last month at a city hotel.

“I wonder what I have done to them to keep following me while spreading all sorts of falsehoods against me.  I know they want to kill my political dream but I am telling them to leave me alone so that I can concentrate on my work,” said Munya.

Stop politics

He said that being a Njuri Ncheke member, he has taken an oath never to kill any human being and swore that he has never been trained to take anyone’s life. Munya disputed claims that he was among persons who plotted to assassinate Ruto.

The former Meru governor  said he is not interested in politics at the moment, adding that he would venture into campaigns when the right time comes.

Munya asked the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to fasttrack investigations on the matter and the Judiciary to hasten the wheels of justice.
