“I have also been asked about my wealth which has increased from Ksh544 million to Ksh694 million.

“First, let me say that I have not done any business with the government, I have not applied for any tender by myself, my family members or proxies,”Kindiki stated.

How it grew

According to the Interior CS nominee, his law firm has generated revenue which has contributed to the increase of his networth.

Kindiki detailed that some legal fees were pending even before he was appointed as CS, so the payment made his wealth to grow by Ksh150 million.

The former CS also runs small businesses which he did not mention during the vetting exercise.

“I do not practice law but my law firm is alive and working. Much of that revenue has come from my law firm. All my salaries and allowances have been spent on paying bills,” he stated.

Breakdown of his worth

Kindiki disclosed that he has two homes, in Nairobi and Tharaka Nithi worth Ksh190 million.

According to the former CS, he also owns land and buildings worth Ksh235 million and savings in saccos and banks.

He also notified the chairperson of the vetting committee that he has vehicles worth Ksh17 million
