UK bars travellers from Kenya over Covid-19 fears

By , April 2, 2021

The United Kingdom has barred people travelling from or through Kenya from entering the country beginning April 9 over fears of spreading coronavirus disease.

The alert from UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development office said that only British, Irish, and third-country nationals with residence rights will be allowed to enter the country on April 9, subject to a 10-day quarantine.

Kenya now is among 36 countries that have been included in UK’s red list over new deadly Covid-19 variants.
