Supreme Court judge Njoki Ndungu’s tough stance against sexual offenders did not start the other day.

In a video published on YouTube on December 1, 2019, Justice Ndung’u narrated her nasty encounter with street hoodlums in the Central Business District during her time as a college student.

Justice Ndung’u said she had had been fed up by the men who would waylay women in the crowded streets, “pinch their buttocks”, and then run away.

“When I was at the University, when I was a first year, walking on Tubman Road on the way to Kimathi Street. That area was notorious. There were these boys who would pinch your buttocks and then run away,” said Justice Ndungu.

“So this day I was prepared, if anybody touches me, I will touch them back,” said Justice Ndung’u.

The top court judge said, true to her prediction, she was pinched and immediately reacted, telling the man that she was going to touch him also.

“Even me, I am going to touch you today. I chased him up until Hilton [Hotel]. I stopped because there was a bus. I was going to catch and touch him,” said Justice Ndung’u.
