The national government has suspended importation of second-hand clothes with immediate effect to safeguard the health of Kenyans and promote local textiles in the wake of coronavirus.

Local textile company Rivatex East Africa Limited through their social media pages welcomed the move stating they have the capacity to produce new quality clothes for Kenyans.
