On Monday evening, social media was awash with claims that former IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba is dead.

K24 Digital has however established that the reports are fake.

In an exclusive phone interview with K24 Digital, the former IEBC CEO regretted that a section of Kenyans wants him dead by spreading misleading information.

Chiloba says he is in good health but at the same time wondering why someone would claim he is no more for the second time in two years.

“I’m alive and kicking. I don’t know why someone would wish me death at this moment. This is the second time they are killing me. The first one was in 2019,” he told K24 Digital.

Chiloba, who currently serves as a member of the Youth Enterprise Development Fund board, further urged those spreading fake reports about his health to stop.

He also took to his Twitter handle to express concern over the increasing cases of fake news globally.

Chiloba further thanked all those who reached out to him to establish his well-being.

” FAKE NEWS is a global disaster and must be fought from all fronts! Thank you for your concern. I am alright and grateful – as always!” he tweeted.
