Former Garsen MP Danson Mungatana has been arrested in Nairobi and taken for questioning for allegedly receiving money by false pretences.
The former MP was taken to the Nairobi Police Area after he was arrested in a city hotel where he was allegedly receiving money from a trader.
He had allegedly hoodwinked three businesswomen that he could help them secure a lucrative tender from an undisclosed entity.
A police source said that the MP may be transferred to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations offices in Kilimani if he is not granted bail.
