DP Ruto’s son Nick addresses ‘gay allegations’ after video leaked from his birthday bash

Nick Ruto, the son of Deputy President William Ruto has finally responded to a video that is doing rounds social media where a man is captured putting a necklace on him.

In the clip that has since gone viral, a man of Indian origin is seen taking the necklace and putting it around his neck as people who are witnessing cheer them up.

The events captured in the video attracted a number of reactions from Kenyans with some suggesting that Nick was embracing gay activities in the country.

However, in his sentiments, Nick who was enjoying his birthday on Thursday, September 9 said that the necklace was a birthday present.

Before the birthday, the Deputy President’s son had posted on his Facebook about the event saying that he was growing strong and very wise each new day and that to him turning 30 was also sweet.

Responding to the viral video, Nick says that it was important for one to build their circles and celebrate each other so that they can gift each other during special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries and weddings.

“This will help you understand the value of friendship and comprehend that gifting a friend of same or opposite gender does not amount to sexual/erotic relationship,” Nick wrote.

The event took place at an unknown location but the place was well decorated. Fireworks are also seen in the sky as those seated at the event celebrate and shout in joy.

The video had caused an uproar with Kenyans judging that the man who was giving Nick the necklace was his lover.
