William Ruto murder plot: Dennis Itumbi charged, bailed out

By , July 22, 2019

State House Digital Communications Director Dennis Itumbi has denied three counts of making a false document, publishing a false statement and reprogramming of a mobile phone.

The charges are in connection with a letter that was spread on social media claiming four Cabinet secretaries were part of an alleged plot to kill his boss, Deputy President William Ruto.

Nairobi Senior Principal Magistrate Kennedy Cheruiyot has freed Mr Itumbi on Sh100,000 cash bail after the plea taking.

The letter caused a political storm after DP Ruto complained of the alleged assassination plot.
